This really is my favorite. I hope you guys like this as much as I did!

♥Halloween Nail Tutorial | Pumpkins and Marble♥

My second Halloween nail tutorial and it is just as amatuer and messy as my ghost and ghouls nail design. I tested all three designs on nail wheels, and they looked amazing, but doing it on my own nails, in a weird angle for filming equates to amatuer hour. Lol.

Either way, I hope you guys like this tutorial and find inspiration and ideas.

Hope you enjoy!

✿Sample Society | October 2012 Review✿

Three weeks later, and I’m finally getting time to write about this box. Honestly, I still haven’t even tried everything, but I really wanted to get this out for you all.

Hope this gives you guys a good perspective of this month’s items!

Sample Society | October 2012 Review

Items Listed In This Unboxing

Jane Iredale Tantasia Self Tanner, 1 oz. ($36, 4.2 oz.)
This is the only product I have yet to try out. If it turns out to be a great product, I will post a separate blog review on this, but for now, I’m going to leave it as it is. I don’t use tanning products, and the fact that they gave us a self-tanner in fall seemed like a poor idea on their part anyway.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment, 0.25 fl.oz. ($85, 2 oz.)

This exfoliator is ranked #2 of all of the items in the box. Now that I've said that, I want to caveat that I would not repurchase this. As far as exfoliating, it did a great job. It helps even out skin texture, removes that layer of dead skin, dry patches, and gives a nice clean fresh face.

This exfoliator comes out green, and as it is rubbed on, it turns into a more beige tone. It has a creamy texture, with granules/beads. It also has a very strong pine scent. This is the reason why I would not repurchase. When I rub it on my face, it smells like I rubbed my face into a pine tree forest. The scent is so overwhelming; I could only use it twice, and then threw it out.

Aromachology Clean & Fresh Eau de Parfum, 0.1 fl.oz. ($100, 3.4 fl.oz.)

This is probably the worst perfume sample I’ve ever gotten in a subscription. The sample size is decent, larger than most, but the scent is not appealing to me at all. It smells like soap. Like basic soap you get from a hotel room, and it is very strong. Like I mentioned in the video, it would be a great ‘clean’ scent for a room, but not for the body. I don’t know about you, but I love Febreeze room sprays, but I would never spray that on my body, and that’s how I feel about this perfume.

Oscar Blandi Pronto Wet Hair Care, 1.7 fl.oz. ($24, 8.4 fl. oz.)

This conditioner is amazing! BUT…. There is a but… it smells like lemon zest. Not just lemon juice, but lemon zest… mixed with hair dye. It gave me the worst head ache. This formula is the volumizing formula, and it made my hair so light weight and voluminous, but OMG, the smell was nauseating. It smelled like I had just box dyed my hair and rubbed lemon zest all over my head. Even my husband was questioning my hair. It was bad. I could only use it once before I had to throw it away. *Just like the exfoliator, except I managed to tolerate that scent twice*

Erno Laszlo Phormula 3-9 Repair Balm, 0.1 fl.oz. ($245, 1.7 fl. oz.)

This is the #1 item in the box, and the most expensive. This is an amazing repair balm. It is a bit on the greasy side, and the texture reminds me of Vaseline, so I would not use this on your face if you have oily skin, but if you have severe dry patches, this is amazing. I have a few patches on my chin and around my mouth, and this fixed it up. Works great on the body as well, but it is quite expensive, so I do not plan on repurchasing.

BONUS: Herban Essentials Lavender Towelette, 1 ($16, 20 count)

This was a cute sample and cute idea. The lavender is mild, and reminds me of something from bath and body works. I don’t ever use towelettes, nor have a need for them, so I personally would not buy them, but if you do, and you want a nice scent, this is a great idea.

OVERALL

I know I said I’ve been loving this subscription, and initially, I was excited about what I saw in the box but after using all of the products, I’m pretty disappointed in this box. It was a huge miss for me. I’m going to continue the subscription, but I won’t keep it if the next month is also a flop.

♥Halloween Nail Tutorial | Ghosts and Ghouls♥

I wanted to do Halloween nails so much sooner, but I never got the chance as my new work schedule never gave me time to film. So I have been rushing to get these done. This is the first of three.

I am still working on my nail skills, so these three tutorials aren't the best quality, but they are cute nonetheless. If I can do it... anyone can do it!!!

Hope you enjoy!

✿Crave Box | Summer Beauty Review✿

I feel like it's been weeks since I recevied this box... oh, wait, it has. My bad! This might sound like a broken record, but life has been so busy lately, that there is just not enough time in the day. If anything, the review itself doesn't take as long, it's finding the time to try out the products and really get a feel for them that has been hard.

However, I have tried everything and I'm pretty impressed with this subscription service...

Crave Box Summer Beauty Review

ITEMS IN THIS MONTHS BOX

Bic Soleil Bella 4-Blade Razor

This razor really isn't anything special. It's not as good as the free one I got from my Birchbox, by Schick or my Venus razor. But I can't complain because razors can be pretty pricy, so having a free razor is awesome. I am still using it, and it does what it needs to do, remove unwanted hair. lol.

Garden Botanika Oatmeal Peppermint Soap

This is a great guest bathroom soap. It smells great and it is very soft. It is a bit drying, but I feel that most bar soaps are drying, unless it is Caress or Dove (which I adore and use). But it really does smell good and reminds me of a spa. We keep it in our guest bathroom for that reason.

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Tropical Mango, 18oz.

First off, this stuff smells delicious. It reminds me of the Body Shop. It is so fruity.  During the Fall and Winter, my skin gets very dry (even though my face remains oily), and my eczema starts to break out. It's not bad, and in many cases, just looks like dry patches, but it is itchy and they are bumpy and are just not appealing. That being said, I have been regularly using my Soap & Glory Pulp Fiction body scrub to keep my eczema at bay. As for this free body scrub, it is not as good as Pulp Fiction, but for someone who doesn't have skin issues, like I do, this stuff is pretty awesome. Not only that, but the sample is MASSIVE, so there is a ton of it, and you don't need to use a lot to get your whole body. Right now, I am using the Tree Hut scrub all over, and the Pulp Fiction just on my arms, where I get my eczema. Since the Pulp Fiction bottle has significantly less, I try not to use it every where to conserve the product, so getting this free, huge sample was awesome!!! This is my 2nd favorite item in the box.

Amore Pacific Treatment Cleansing Foam, 1oz.

This is my favorite item in the box!!! I am planning on ordering this as soon as I run out of my Neutrogena face wash. I have very oily skin, and this has been great at removing all of the oil and preventing more oil development. If you don't have oily skin, this may be drying, but I tone and use the hydration delivery sample that I got with this, and it helps my skin from drying out. With other face washes, they remove the dirt and oil, which is fine, but my face starts to get oily within the first two hours of my day. With this face wash, I don't get oily until the afternoon, which is a good 4-5 hours. Amazing!

Amore Pacific Moisture Bond Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System, 1oz.

This is my 3rd favorite item in the box. I don't know if I would repurchase this, as it really seems like a 'nice to have' but not something I need. It works great after using the face wash, but I can also go without it. It also has a medicated scent, which I'm not a huge fan of. However, it really does reintroduce moisture to the face, and with the fall, it has reduced my dry patches that I have been getting recently. My face gets weird in the fall. It stays oily, but in some spots, I get ugly dry patches, and this helps reduce that.

Think Thin Nutrition Bar in Creamy Peanut Butter

This is the one thing I did NOT like in the box. I was looking forward to trying this out since this is a more expensive brand of nutrition bars, but it tasted awful! I did not taste like peanut butter, and the chocolate was chalky. It didn't even taste like nuts. I know that some peanut butters have no sugar and can be bland, but it didn't even taste like that. FAIL on Think Thin.

OVERALL

I am really surprised at how much I enjoyed this subscription service. It is $10 for the regular monthly subscription (which is completely full right now), but they have 'specialty' boxes, which this one falls under, which is a lottery based selection. I enjoyed it so much, I signed up to be a member. In fact, they have a Cooking Light Specialty box now open for the lottery selection. Essentially, you enter your name, stating that you'd like to be part of the lottery. You then take a quiz related to what might be included in this specific box, and to complete your entry, you provide your credit card information. If you are selected, you will have a one time charge of $10-$15 (this particular box is $13). If you are not selected, you will NOT be charged, and you can just wait until another specialty box opens up for lottery and try for that. The boxes are option and they do not send them without your consent to enter. Pretty awesome! Their boxes are so unique, and the products are awesome and great sizes. I really enjoyed this box!

✿MyGlam/Ipsy | September 2012 Review✿

This is probably the latest blog review I've ever done. I haven't had the time to try out the products and sit down and write this out. Worst part, the brush I got was broken, so I had to wait for Ipsy to send me a new one.

At this point, I would probably skip the review since it is so late, but I felt it was important as this is one of the first MyGlam bags that I really wasn't impressed with.

September 2012 MyGlam/Ipsy Review

ITEMS IN THIS MONTHS BOX

Circus Nail Polish in Tight Rope

This is the one of two things I actually enjoyed about this box. The only crazy part about this polish is that it almost takes on different shades in different light. In certain angles, it came off very hot pink. Also, this is a very very fast drying polish. Within 30 seconds, it was completely dry.

The one down side to this polish is that it is a bit streaky and it almost dries matte, and not in a nice way.

Jane Cosmetics Lip Gloss

Not a fan of this lip gloss. It has a great texture, and smells amazing, but again, it is NOT my color. It is too bright! This is the 3rd lip gloss I've received in a hot pink shade that just does not compliment me. I have retaken the quiz 3 times, and I keep getting the same shade.

Mirbella Eye Shadow

This eye shadow consistency is awesome, but the shade was a major flop. It makes me look tired and irritated. If it were a different color, I may have loved this. Also, it is meant to be placed into a holder, and I didn't really want to go and buy a holder for one item, when I have no intention on getting more of these shades.

SOHO Smudge Brush

So, the brush I originally received was broken, and so it took a while until I could test it. However, the new brush is a great blender!!! I don't know if I would replace my Crown brushes with this, but it's always nice to have more brushes. The more the merrier.

Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Split End Sealer

I don't know if this actually repairs split ends, but what I do know is that I was immediately regretful after applying this to my hair. It smelt like I rubbed tons of sunscreen in my hair. I did not feel my hair was any better. It just made my hair feel greasy and smell bad.

OVERALL, I was not impressed with this bag. The only items I really liked is the nail polish and the brush. The bag itself was cute, but not the best quality. It looks more like a clutch, but it's not very good quality, so I wouldn't recommend using it as a clutch.

✿Blue Dots and Marble Nails✿

I feel like it's been forever since I've posted on my blog. Time just gets away from me lately, I have a hard time finding time. I was going through some of my project folders and found some old pictures of my lost nail tutorial.

I didn't want them to go to waste as they were so cute, so I decided to share them with you all. This is the blue dot and marble nails that I accidentally deleted the tutorial footage after mistakenly switching my camera and camcorder flash cards. :(

Anywho, here are the pictures.

Blue Dots and Marble Nails

Nail Polishes

  • Sinful Colors in Lavender

Marble Nail

I used Lavendar as the base and marbled it with Snow Me White.

Polka Dot Nail

For the polka dot nails, I used Precious Metal as the base and added two different sized dots in Snow Me White and Lavender.

♥Crave Box | My First Crave Box♥

First and foremost, this is my first and only Crave Box. I am not a Crave Box subscriber. I actually won this from a giveaway that LisaMia596 was having on YouTube.

She's been a subscriber for quite some time to Crave Box and they offered her the chance to give away 2 boxes. If you've already watched the video, you know I know NOTHING about Crave Box. lol.

Well, I've done some research and if you're intrested, please keep reading!

My First Crave Box

What's in My Crave Box?

  • Bic Soleil Bella 4-Blade Razor
  • Garden Botanika Oatmeal Peppermint Soap
  • Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Tropical Mango, 18oz.
  • Amore Pacific Treatment Cleansing Foam, 1oz.
  • Amore Pacific Moisture Bond Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System, 1oz.
  • Think Thin Nutrition Bar in Creamy Peanut Butter

What is Crave Box?

Crave box is a subscription service for $10/month. The boxes have different themes each month. Some months have limited edition boxes which can cost up to $15. From what I can tell, they claim to be monthly, but they are typically seasonal, and that they are only monthly if you opt into the limited edition boxes, as they have those each month between the seasonal boxes.

Unfortunately, their website isn't very explicit with the way their boxes are shipped, when you are charged or how frequently you receive a box. In many cases, the site almost sounds exclusive, similar to that of Influenster, where they have certain themed boxes, and they favor their limited supply to those who promote their brand (i.e. bloggers, Tweeters, YouTubers, etc).

How to Sign Up?

Right now, they are completely filled up, but you can still sign up and get on their waitlist.
www.cravebox.com

If you're already a subscriber, please comment below and let me know what you think! I really want to get a better perspective on this box, seperate from what I've read on their site!

If you want to see more tutorials, hauls, reviews, have any suggestions or recommendations, please send me a message, send me a tweet, post on my Facebook or comment below! Thanks for watching!
